A day that I have been looking forward to for ages, the second Mx5nutz peaks super meet. The first one was all the way back in January of this year! We I’m hoping to get them running a bit more regular, not so much that they become common and people loose interest, but often enough. Thinking every other month, the which would tie in nicely with JAE in September.
The format for the day is that there are a bunch of regional meets, all convoying to a meeting point in the peaks. Doing It like this seems to encourage larger numbers 🙂 just shy of 30 cars descended on the famous cat and fiddle pub for conversation, tyre kicking, food, and the all important passenger rides.
Meeting at ikea, the Birmingham convoy met up with the Notts contingent and gave us a healthy convoy of 7 upto the peaks.
Drive up was good, but even with a couple of wrong turns (thanks Andy :)) and bankruptcy bottoming out twice, hard! Complete with road damage and battering some of her underfloor bracing.
It was great to meet the usual suspects, with a healthy contingent of new faces with all the convoys. Some very nice cars there from the Nutz, along with a fine collection of motor bikes and a very nice cobra replica.
Bankruptcy did her first passenger ride, taking Acquah (George) down the road and back. He appeared to enjoy it, he also took a bit of a vid on his iphone, and I’ll link it up when it goes live.
I got a couple of snaps from the Nottingham meet, but none from the cat and fiddle. No worries tho, cos Titch was there snapping away, ill link up his post when it goes live.
All in all a very good day 🙂 I’m already looking forward to the next one in a couple of months…. Might raise Bankruptcy abit for that though. And learn to take more pics!
