Yeah I’m starting again…. a few reasons….
- I want more cabin space, so i’m swapping the pedalbox and roll cage
- i found a teeny bit of rust
- I want a change in image for the car
- I’ve got a 1.8 VVT engine to go in it
So, of course, all this means it is a lot easier to start another car rather than swapping the rollcage and pedal box in this one and then ask Dave to respray it…..
Well, actually it kinda is 😀
you see, the amount of work almost means stripping down to bare shell… what with full colour change inc engine bay, and then storing all the parts while working on the shell… then building it back up, and all the way through this period, NO SHOW CAR!!! and taking into account my eternally overrunning projects, that would mean no show car for about 2 years lol….
So the logical solution, buy another shell (Again off Painterdave) and start doing all the prep work involved. that way I can keep V2.0 as a rolling shell, Bankruptcy can be pulled out of retirement and MOTd for Show work if V2.0 overruns (Likely yeah 🙂 )
The plan for this one? you are gonna have to use ALOT of imagination for the rest of this post….
Once again I’m relying heavily on my friends at Deepcar Autobodies, Autotronix developments, literally, without Dave and Clive I wouldn’t have Bankruptcy V1, let alone be at the point of starting Bankruptcy V2.0.along with the shiney offerings from Jass Performance
I’ve been loving the weathered military look for the last couple of years, and I’m a bit of a geek, loving the Battlestar re-imaged series from a few years back. so the basis of the plan is this sorta style…
but in the colours of the Viper MK2 from BSG (GEEK!)
Once again I want to make some big arches… going a bit more aggressive this time though… using these for inspiration..
Front splitter is going to be bigger than on Bankruptcy V1… as is the rear diffuser.. and I’m tempted to make skirts and moar aero…. but I think that will be over the next couple of years rather than immediately.
Along with all that, I’ve ordered some new wheels…. 15″ 8j -10 ET for the front and 15″ 8j -35et for the rear… so 10mm more offset than the current set up I’ve got on Bankruptcy (Inc the spacers)
The interior is practically not going to exist…. Like I want to be able to clean it with a hosepipe practically (I hate hoovering)
Engine has really got me in a pickle…. like I said earlier, I’ve got a VVT lump that could go in, along with the turbo set up from Bankruptcy V1, or even ITBs. But I have always been tempted by a conversion, and CRAP engineerings v6 conversions are awesome, esp JimmyPs idea of twin turbos on it. AWESOME! and I’ve always wanted a bridgeported rotary….. I think this bit I’ll have to play by ear with time constraints and budget etc….. but the first thing that is happening to the shell is the engine bay smoothing…. wanna go further this time 😀
So… big plans…. how far along are we? ….
